One of my recent Christmas Traditions...
~Candy Cane Lane Tea~

It's so good... a 'licious peppermint green tea... but a nice n' mild peppermint.

Regular mint tea is a little strong for my liking but this is just right. And better yet, it's Celestial Seasonings which means you can find it just about anywhere!

Oh, and here are some yummy sugar cookies
I made this evening, too.
Simple, delicious, and of course, the recipe is from my ever trusty Baking Illustrated Book!
Soft Sugar Cookies:
2 cups all purpose four
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened but still cool
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
sugar in the raw ( for sprinkling on top)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In a stand mixer, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy ( about 3 minutes). Beat in the egg and vanilla. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients; mix until just combined. Roll into balls; place on cookie sheet. Flatten slightly then sprinkle with the sugar in the raw. Bake for about 8 minutes or until just set. Let cool on cookie sheet.
Peppermint tea, I've never had it, totally gonna try it now! here's a recipe for easy chocolate peppermint cookies!
1 betty crocker vanilla frosting
1 tbs peppermint
green food coloring
mix these three together with as much food coloring as you like.
Spread on a regular Ritz Cracker and put another cracker on top (like a sandwich) then dip it in melted chocolate. lay on wax paper and sprinkle it with green sugar sprinkles. Refrigerate till chocolate is set and voila!! Chocolate Peppermint cookies! I might make some this year and I'll post to give you a visual idea. They are really good though! blessings<><
